For every 1 million gallons of production, biodiesel contributes $22.8 million in statewide total economic output and supports 73 jobs. Additionally, biodiesel increase the value of soybeans by 63 cents a bushel.
As a whole, biodiesel’s total economic impact is $1.7 billion annually and it supports 5,397 jobs in Minnesota.

The current use of biodiesel blends in Minnesota has an effect equal to removing 128,000 vehicles from the road.

A recent economic study estimates that, for every soy checkoff dollar spent on international marketing activities, an additional $74.50 of revenues to U.S. soy producers was achieved.
